Iain Sainsbury Designs is a artisan jewellery company.
Iain creates pieces whose fundamental features are sandcasting, contrasting juxtaposed textures, the rough and the smooth, as well as fine setting of gemstones and KeumBoo to highlight features and colours.
Iain creates both off the peg pieces and items on commission.

- ATOMIUM RING 2 : Part of the ATOMIUM collection – A 9ct sandcast ring, tube set with spinels and sapphires This is a ring, sandcast in 9ct gold with contrasting rough sand textures juxtaposed with a polished surface. The ring is set with a large purple/blue spinels and three Australian Parti Sapphires. This ring is cast using sand from Porthcurno Beach near the Minack Theatre on the south coast of Cornwall. The ring was cast using the Delft Clay technique (every ring cast is different as the mould can only be used once), and then it was cleaned by hand, polished and set. The ATOMIUM collection is inspired by the Atomium Sculpture in Brussels.

ATOMIUM RING 3 :
Part of the ATOMIUM collection – A 9ct sandcast ring, tube set with a diamond, spinel and sapphires
This is a ring, sandcast in 9ct gold with contrasting rough sand textures juxtaposed with a polished surface. The ring is set with a large purple spinel, a salt and pepper diamond and three Australian Parti Sapphires.
This ring is cast using sand from Porthcurno Beach near the Minack Theatre on the south coast of Cornwall. The ring was cast using the Delft Clay technique (every ring cast is different as the mould can only be used once), and then it was cleaned by hand, polished and set.
The ATOMIUM collection is inspired by the Atomium Sculpture in Brussels.

ATOMIUM EARRINGS 1 :
Part of the ATOMIUM collection – Two sandcast 9ct gold hoop earrings, tube set with spinels and sapphires
This is a hoops, sandcast in 9ct gold with contrasting rough sand textures juxtaposed with a polished surface. The left earring is set with sapphires and the right, a large purple spinel, and sapphires.
Each hoop is cast using sand from Chapel Porth beach on the north coast of Cornwall. The ring was cast using the Delft Clay technique (every ring cast is different as the mould can only be used once), and then it was cleaned by hand, polished and set.

ATOMIUM PENDANT 1 :
Part of the ATOMIUM collection – A 9ct gold hoop pendant, tube set with spinels and sapphires, with a sterling silver belcher chain and handmade clasp.
The hoop is sandcast in 9ct gold with contrasting rough sand textures juxtaposed with a polished surface. The left earring is set with sapphires and the right, a large purple spinel, and sapphires.

BOMBÉ RING 1 :
Part of the Bombé collection – Sterling silver bombé ring, sandcast with pavé sapphires and moissanites
This is a ring, sandcast in sterling silver with contrasting rough sand textures juxtaposed with a polished surface. The ring is set with 11 Australian Parti Sapphires and 7 moissanites.
This ring is cast using sand from Porthcurno Beach near the Minack Theatre on the south coast of Cornwall. The ring was cast using the Delft Clay technique (every ring cast is different as the mould can only be used once), and then it was cleaned by hand, polished and set.

BOMBÉ RING 2 :
Part of the Bombé collection – 9ct gold and sterling silver bombé ring, sandcast with pavé moissanites.
A double sandcast ring in 9ct gold and sterling silver with contrasting rough sand textures juxtaposed with a polished surface. The ring is set with 13 2.5mm moissanites.
This ring is unique and cast using sand from Kennack Sands on the tip of the Lizard in Cornwall. The ring was cast using the Delft Clay technique (every ring cast is different as the mould can only be used once), in two stages. The Bombe section was cast first and then the gold shank was cast over the silver, after this ring it was cleaned by hand, polished and set.

BOMBÉ EARRINGS 1 :
Part of the Bombé collection – Unique, sterling silver bombé inspired drop earrings
A pair of sterling silver sandcast earrings with contrasting rough sand textures juxtaposed with a polished surface. The lower portions of the earrings are coated in 23.5ct gold using the KeumBoo technique (when hallmarked due to the amount of gold present it is hallmarked as 9ct). Completed with elegant 9ct gold ear wires.

BOMBÉ EARRINGS 2 :
Part of the Bombé collection – Statement stud earrings
A pair of mixed metal earrings, sterling silver and 9ct gold sandcast earrings contrasting rough sand textures juxtaposed with a polished surface. The lower portions of the earrings are cast in sterling silver with 9ct gold bonded to the top section. Completed with 9ct gold posts/butterflies and set subtly with two small Australian parti sapphires, despite the heating as they were cast-in-place they have retained their blue colour.
