Pembrokeshire-based designer Tom Wilkinson-Dix won first place for the prestigious Design Award, sponsored by NaughtOne for his ‘Torsion Dresser Sideboard’ at the recent Young Furniture Makers Exhibition. He is a 2024 graduate from the BA (Hons) Furniture Design and Make at Rycotewood Furniture Centre

Scorched ash panels in ash frames, laser engraved HIMACS, solid surface, handmade brass handles, h815cm x w885cm x d360cm. A mediation on ash dieback and the felling trees to prevent its spread.

Hireath Chair :
Inspired by vernacular furniture of the western coasts of the British Isles, the Hireath Chair is made using locally available ‘waste’ including felted sheep’s wool, storm felled Ash and trawler cord. 920cm x 500 cm x 450cm.
